Devil's elbow, Missouri

As a notorious stop on the historic Route 66 between St. Robert and Rolla, the ominous name "Devil's Elbow" inspired generations of ghost stories, including campfire tales of moaning sounds and floating apparitions near the riverbanks and forested bluffs at night; local folklore features tales of an isolated grave belonging to a woman outside of regular sanctified church cemeteries, which historically fed regional myths labeling her an "Ozark witch", though historians note off-site burials were common for practical or epidemic reasons rather than folklore malice. Aside from getting caught in a heavy thunderstorm while lost in the Mark Twain forest, getting stuck in mud and facing a tree blocking the one lane dirt road we were on, we did capture a few notable pieces of evidence while we were there.

Video EVP

Click the button to watch the youtube video we captured with a voice that was only caught on one recorder - this video. The recorder you see Dustin holding in his hand did not catch it!

EVP VIDEO

EVP #1 - This one is included because of its' absence of an EVP. This is from the recorder that Dustin is holding in the video above. You will hear the "hello" is not there

EVP #2 - This is a bizarre, "flanged" voice that says "hi" or something similar. You will definitely hear it. Captured deep in the woods.

EVP #3 -  We all heard this whisper on site, but it's VERY faint here, but it is there. This was captured at Eliza's grave

EVP #4 -  This weird, deep voice was captured by John's body cam.
